ABOUT my work
In my work I explore issues that are most pressing in my 21st Century female conscience: displacement, exile and homelessness, memory and history, beauty, fashion and the female body, the place of woman in society. I view expression as a possibility of living within the threshold of those issues which allows me to accept the transitory nature of being, a sort of constant liminality, and “passing through” as a permanent state of being.

PADRE ETERNO, Homage to Jorge Castellanos, an installation by TOA CASTELLANOS......at Color Arternative Space in Miami.
During her father´s illness and after his death on January 24, 2011, Toa Castellanos envisioned an installation that would honor her father as well as present him as eternal student, historian, teacher, husband and father.
